As you know, the holidays can get a little chilly, so I decided to put together this medley of music to "make things nice and hot!"
No, I'm not quoting Tina Turner.
I came up with the song "Don't Care What I Get for Christmas" while in a long and boring car trip to the suburbs of Chicago. I wanted to make a sexy Christmas song, so I immediately thought of "roasting chestnuts." The song medley begins with the The Pointer Sisters "I'm So Excited" then leads to Blondie's "Call Me" and to the infamous "Disco Medley" by the fabulous 70s Philadelphia power group, the Salsoul Family Orchestra.
I put together this tacky and loud medley with the help of my good friend Taylor E Ross, a fabulous local musician. Taylor used to perform with me in the live Feast of Fools show where he was known as Link Pinks. I always thought that Link Pinks was an odd sounding name. It means to create a bond of trust by linking another persons pinky finger with your own. Regardless of his name, don't you think he looks good in pink? The photo was taken by my good friend Jason Smith.

I think Fausto wins hands down. He faces the audience directly, has excellent, appropriate items to strengthen and support his message and his message is clearly geared to a gay audience He has a much better singing voice than the other two contestants, and his words are clever and classy. The twinkle in his eyes come across very well, and he is very expressive in his face and hands. He is a true showman; all of his life experience with performing comes through. At first I thought you were going to do a William Shatner kind of "I-talk-my-songs" which dissappointed me because I've heard you sing before and I know you can do it. I love Achy, Alix and Andrea, gays and lesbians have done so much throughout history, I think it should be a bigger source of pride for us from Sappho.. I am a late comer to the fabulousness that is Feast of Fools. I sort of accidentally stumbled into FOF when browsing thru iTunes podcast directory one day, and i am glad that i made this great find. I just want u guys to know that, as an out and proud gay chinese from Malaysia, FOF is heaven sent to me. Not a day goes by since subscribing to FOF that i didn't tune in to you guys. You cheer up my day, you make me laugh with ur witty banters, you keep me entertained with your daily reports on global oddities and your interviews with guests are always fun and insightful. My favourite regular guests on your shows are Tracy Tyler (love that laugh), Sal E (freakish and fun) and Miss Ronnie (that voice, ohhh...). I also love Drew Persons, he's just so shy and adorable.
